    Ok Riddle....Seriously?

I saw a birth announcement from someone I know who named their new baby boy:

    Braddock Riddle

    I don't like Braddock...but Riddle!? I can't even believe it!

    Thoughts?

Here where I live (West Texas), Riddle is not an uncommon last name. So perhaps it's honorific, mother's maiden name or something like that. (?)

I agree with peanut. I immediately thought it was probably used to honor someone through their surname.

Maybe the mother doesn't know who the baby's real father is...that would be the Riddle behind the name. Sorry but that's the way my mind is working today.
    All the best,
    Mischa.
