    Samuel or Thomas?

    Which one do you like better? I can't decide as I go back and forth between the two.

    I like Samuel much more, as it doesn't have the same connotations for children as Thomas (the train).

    I prefer Thomas to Samuel, but Sam to Tom by such a degree that I'd opt for Samuel (also, it's a really great Bible story).

    Samuel! I like Thomas, but it means "twin," and even though that is not a negative meaning at all, something about it bothers me. I'm picky and I'd never use it on a little boy who was not a twin. However, I have no problem using George on a boy who will most likely not be a farmer... I'm just weird.

    Either way, I like Samuel better.

    Both are wonderful names, but I prefer Samuel.
