I Don't think Isabella is trendy. It is a old name with a lot of history and it is quite lovely. It seemd that you and your husband both love the name, so i would definitely use it.

Isabella is just overused. And I just have a hard time seeing the appeal of it. But If you love it go for it. I love the much more rare Elsbeth or Elspeth even Isabeau is something I would consider.

I don't know any Isabella's and I am around a lot of children. I think it is a beautiful name that sounds classic and timeless. I think if you love it, you should you use it.

A friend just picked this name for their daughter. Have to admit I groaned a little. It's such a pretty name, but so many Isabella's! I know 4 under 5.

I love Annabel, really any Belle

All of the -bel/-belle/-bella names are trendy, but I can't imagine Isabella sounding dated. Even though it's mega popular, I've only met a few. It's an absolutely gorgeous name, and it has meaning to you. I think you should use it.
