    A magical & adventurous name

So for giggles as I don't think we're having another baby anytime soon, I'd like to start gathering more names for my list. I've run out of names my wife deems usable. She doesn't want anything to crazy and I don't want anything to plain. Anna was already a bit on the fence about both boys names but I bulled ahead and got them. Zane Ronan and Lysander Tristan, each name sounds romantic and adventurous to me and I'd like names that are similar.

And if you don't mind, I'd love all your more unusual names that might fit as I love them and tend to collect them. I'm a photographer and I like to name my models and build stories and sets around those names sometimes.

    For reference, our children are:

    Juliana Piper
    Zane Ronan
    Aisling Evania
Lysander Tristan (who was almost Tristian Lysander)

And if it helps, when I'm wearing my terrible glasses instead of my contacts, and when I've decided to avoid the salon, I have albinism. My wife is dirty blond with brown eyes and our children tend to look like her, they tend to have freckles like us both, and only Lysander looks anything like me as he's platinum blond.

After reading your name thread the other day I was hoping you'd comment. These I like and will petition the wife for (as I think she'd allow them)

    Altair
    Aragorn
    Auberon
    Calidore
    Casimir
    Castiel
    Dragan
    Emrys
    Faramir
    Faramond
    Gawain
    Gwydion
Herne - though I think she'd say 'only a middle'
    Hyperion
    Lorien
    Oberon
    Percival
Silvanus -- She'd likely want just Silvan though, and that would be fine
    Tirian

These I like and can't use (So I'll save them for my photography or my writings)

Attila -- She says "Attila the hun?!"
Beltane -- She says no Pagan holidays. I asked about Mabon and Beltane for Aislings middle
Hermes -- she says it sounds like Herpes O_O
Horatio -- she doesn't like that it has the whore sound in there
Isidore -- she says it's too girly. I love it though
Kestrel -- She doesn't generally like bird names...though she likes Kite for a middle
Leander -- too close to Lysander
Marinell -- She wouldn't like Mari in there
Odin -- 'no violent gods' She's pretty against most god/goddess names
Orion -- We live in Ireland so O'Ryan >.>
    Orlando -- Disney
Osiris -- 'I don't want my son named for a death god' Sigh. Tried this one with Zane. She doesn't like Orpheus for his connection to the underworld even though he's one of my favourites
Paladin -- Tried this for Lysanders middle actually. She said 'I won't have my son named after a class in DnD' She won't see beyond that
Ptolemy -- She does not approve of silent letters
Pyramus -- She'd mention fire as the first syllable is Pyr
Siegfried -- She'd reference the Vegas act. She's originally from that area

I could probably get her to use these as middles (and if not for my photography and writings)

    Artegal
    Bedivere
    Beowulf
Charlemagne -- Isn't this great? Such good history
    Endymion
    Galahad
    Guenedoc
Hefeydd -- Love this so much but she wants her American family to be able to pronounce it
    Jarek
Lancelot -- I don't like it enough for a first. I like the knights names so much more
Leodegrance -- She thinks it's terrible with the other children but I think it's awesome. Casimir Leodegrance!!
    Lorien
Odysseus -- and Ulysses in the same vein
Orpheus -- I'm still working with her on this one
Osiris -- still working on this one too
    Rainier
Txanton -- love the meaning here but pronounce it?
    Valemon -- Love this story
Zephyr -- not as a first since Zane is already a Z

I just saw you'd responded! Sorry.

Athos -- This is very nice, I like it
Atreyu -- this makes me think of the heavy metal band
Bran -- This is a bit bland and makes me think of cereal
Balder -- I love the mythology, hate that it's also a word
Bragi -- Love! Adding to my list
Caspian -- I quite like this. I think Anna would approve too, added
Darius -- I like the nn Dare, but I like a lot of other us names better, it's a maybe
Daystar -- Interesting! I love word names. I'll keep it for the middle or for my art
    Dunstan -- Meh
Escher (not really magical or adventurous, but I can get lost in his art) -- It's a maybe
    Fearghas -- Meh
Galdor -- This makes me think of gallbladder >.<
Loxley -- I love this and Huxley. Keeping for a middle
Perseus -- Love it with Theseus. Middle
    Rune -- Love it.
Thorin -- Ah LOTR is what I think of. Very noble (but he was also pretty greedy). I have a Torin in the extended family though
Uther -- Pendragon. Arthur mythology and I love it. I'm keeping it
Westley -- Secret name I love. West is wonderful. keeping

Thank you very much to the two of you who replied. Last time I was on here I got way more responses than this. A little sad.
