You also should consider future siblings when choosing her name. If you name her Luther and the next girl comes along and you want to name her Etta Mae or Emma or one of the other names on your list your kids are going to sound ridiculous next to each other. "These are my daughters, Luther and Etta Mae," is laughable. You're going to narrow your options for future kids considerably. Any well-established girl names will make Luther look silly, so you'll almost have to use unisex or boy names even if you don't want to. And then when it comes time to name a boy, most people (at least ones i know who chose boy names for their girls) get stumped as to how to distinguish between their boys and girls. So they end up naming the boys things like Gunner and Rage and Tyrant. They just pick the hardest words they can think of because they want their girls to sound soft in comparison. It ends up looking and sounding awful. Something to consider.I hope to be a mom one day. For now I enjoy being a name lover.
My apologies for any typos; i post from my mobile phone.
