    Polly

Could I please have some opinions on the name Polly? Although its a tad nicknamey, I think its sweet and I like how it sounds with Amelie and Daisy. I'm not sure what name it could be short for, or if there is a longer version? The only one that comes to mind is Pollyanna but I think its a bit too twee!

I'm not pregnant, just collecting names.

    Thanks in advance x

Meh, I've never been fond of the -olly names, really. Molly, Polly, Lolly... Holly is okay, but they all seem rather bland and boring, and Polly still sounds really dated to me. I don't see the cute factor to it. I do sort of like Paulina, though, and I think Polly could be a nn for that. Or even Penelope.

I adore Polly! It's on my long list. Polly is spunky, sprightly, and more sophisticated than sister name Molly. Truly an undiscovered gem.

Matilda Sailor or Faye Matilda | Sylvie Wren or Simon Adler | Alice Violetta or Atlas Dov | Julian 'Jules' River or Juniper 'Joon' Lovelace | Roscoe Fox or Marlowe Fritz | Jane Lucinda or Lucien Wilde | Louisa Valor or Eloise March | Ivan Elliot or Iris Cordelia | August Jack or Jasper Hale | Dashiell Jude or Judah Reeve | Thea Marina or Marigold 'Maggie' Wynn | Finnegan Wallace or Felix Raphael

I really like Polly! It goes great with your girls' names. At one point I had Pomeline nn Polly on my list, so that's my first thought. I also second Ash's suggestions of Pauline/a and Penelope.
