Here are some more 'out there' names to consider:
Agapantha (this is a lovely flower, and I always thought it would make a great name for a girl!)
Vakarine - Lithuanian Goddess of the Evening Star, apparently!
November (I like this as a name! And the nn's Ember or Nova, too!)

Chucking more options at you (I've gone a bit mythical/Greek Goddess here):
Acantha (nymph loved by Apollo in Greek legend)
Ariadne ("most holy"; the daughter of King Minos)
Callisto ("most beautiful"; a wood nymph whom Zeus loved)
Calypso (nymph who was in love with Odysseus)
Cassandra (Trojan princess)
Thalia (Greek muse of poetry and comedy)
Clio (Greek muse of heroic poetry and history)
to see if you can get your husband on board with Iris: Iris was the Greek personification of the rainbow (which inspired the name for the flower). So pretty and mystical!
...or what about Isis (Egyptian nature goddess)?
Selene (moon goddess)
Eos (goddess of the dawn)
Eudora (a nymph; meaning "good gift")
Helene (of Troy; 'the face that launched a thousand ships'!)
Maia (daughter of Atlas, mother of Hermes)
Pandora (am I alone in loving this name?!)
Penelope (I ADORE this name; means "faithful")
Persephone (daughter of Demeter)
Best of luck!

@cdm – thanks for your comments! I actually have a distant acquaintance with a daughter named Liberty Rose, that exact combo! Pearl would be fine as a middle; we’re just trying to let each kid have their own first initial (I decorate with letters and such). I think Odette has been mentioned but not Odelia, I’ll run that one by DH. Also Fidelia, I think I’ve seen Fidelity around here but not this variety. Thank you!
@jem – YES! Very exciting that he’s coming around a bit. I do like Briar-Rose but yeah, it’s probably too much to directly rip-off a Disney princess, lol. Thanks for the other combos, too. Ruby-Rose is super cute, but maybe overly themey. Some new suggestions here, too!
@jem - on your next post, thanks for Odette & Signy. Hubby vetoed both, I don’t know what he didn’t like about Odette and he said Signy just makes him think of Sigourney Weaver, which he didn’t like. :-P
@jem – MORE ideas, lol. Sorry, I don’t like Imogen/Imogene. It’s one of those “Nameberry love I just don’t get” names. Haha.
@megalady – I really appreciate general comments on our options. Thanks! Blergh, I’ve tried ot get DH to like Fiala, and Fiora, Fiore, but he still says no. I’m really impressed by the rest of your ideas here, SO many new ones. I feel bad that nothing is jumping out at me, but it isn’t. Inga is sweet, but the meaning isn’t spectacular.
@mousehouse7 – You’re back, with even more! Wow. …The trick with the “out there” names is getting DH to bite. His top picks are Rose, Daisy, Scarlett & Liberty so we’re looking at pretty mainstream here :-P Ack! November is awesome, I’ve had both Ember and Nova on my lists, but baby is due in March and I’m one of THOSE people, hahaha.
@jem – Cool, even more ideas!! I’m not very much into the Greek names though hubby likes a few. We have zero Greek heritage, and we are Protestant Christians, so we don’t have any attachment to the myths or to the nationality. I do appreciate the “chucking” of more ideas though! Thank you!
LATEST LIST: Gwenyth, Gwendolyn, Willow, Scarlett, Daisy, Rose, Liberty (on the verge of falling off the list) & Serafina (back for re-consideration)
New (or re-) suggestions to run by DH: Odelia, Fidelia, Fiora
