LATEST UPDATE: Nice long talk with the hubby and we have a new approach: he promises to make a list of a few names he actually LIKES (instead of just telling me what he hates the least) – and I will henceforth choose MY favorites (instead of guesses, which had been based on what he “hates the least” in the first place) and he will give scores to each of the names I like. Then he nominates the best to keep on the list.
This new plan is sooooo much better I can’t even believe it! We now have these lovelies on our list:
Willow (the only original!)
Saffron got booted for being too close to our son’s name. On the middle name list, I’m keeping these suggestions/inspirations from Berries: Shenandoah, Edelweiss, Roxanne, Quinn, Serafina, Marigold, and Livny.
I think we’re finally getting somewhere!! Thanks to everyone for all of the fantastic ideas. If the new list inspires any other ideas, send them our way!

Ok - call me crazy, but you seem to have sort of an 'exotic-yet-royal' flavor to all of your names - like they could/should be the name of a Prince/Princess....at least that's how they all feel to me.
So with that in mind, what about:
Karenza - I 'love' this one!
Ozette - there is a place nearby here named Ozette and it is wildly beautiful!
Alexandra, nn Shura/Sasha (Jessica Lange's daughter was named that, with the nn Shura, and I always thought it was beautiful!)
Natasha, Nikita, Nicolaia - something Russian like this! They all feel exotic and royal!
Tatiana (Caroline Kennedy has two daughters, Rose & Tatiana, and I like the pairing...same with Eve, I think!)

Okay! So, I tried not to duplicate, but who knows. Some of these don't follow all the guidelines or are a bit unusual, but I thought I'd toss them into the ring anyway.
Alvilde/Aluilda/Alwilda/Vilda - (Scandanavian Pirate Princess -- How much cooler can you get?) - Allie, Vivi
Amata - Amie
Araminta - Minty
Belsante/Belissenda/Belisandra - Bliss, Bindi
Belladonna - Bonnie
Diamanta - Didi, Dani, Dia
Dwyn - "wave"
Esperanza - added because I love it
Fiordelisa “Fia” - I believe this is derived from the Fleur-de-lis (stylized lily)
Gwenda (gwen "white, pure, blessed, holy" + da "good, well")
Gweneira (gwen "white" + eira "snow")
Leocadia - Cady, Leo, Lia, Dia
Loa - "golden plover" bird
Lunaria - Love this, the plant is very interesting and lovely in an unusual way
Malati - "Jasmine" - Mally, Molly
Mazarine - beautiful blue color, butterfly - Mazzy
Mimosa - Mimi, Mimzy, Mo
Minette - Minnie
Minneola - type of citrus
Nerissa - Nessa
Olympia - Oly, Pia
Persephone - Fia, Penny, Effie
Reynadine - from an English ballad
Sequoia - Quoia
Sunniva - "Sun gift" Sunny
Vanessa - Nessa
Viorica - "Bluebell"
Hope you find something in this list to contemplate.
