Cherry--too cute, ok for a family nickname (I have a Cherubia in the family tree, not that I recommend the name)
Shalon--I loved this when I was a teen, but not so much now
Stephanie--lovely, perhaps dated, but I still like it.
Nicole, Jacqueline, Solange--lovely French names, all popular in the '70's-'80s, but still beautiful
Genevieve--love it in French, sounds like a grandma in English...which means it's probably trending.
Lolita--too sexy for real life
Aaliyah--trendy, but pretty
Sophia--classic, overly popular
Rhiannon--confusing for some, but pretty for an Irish lass
Desiree--another teenage fave...a bit dated, but I still like it.

Lovely: Stephanie, Jacqueline, Genevieve (one of my favorites!), Sophia (pretty but is EVERYWHERE these days)
So-so: Nicole (very blah), Dahlia (will remind everyone of a gruesome murder, & looks nicer on paper), Solange, Aaliyah (like Solange, will not fit everyone), Rhiannon
NOOOO!!!!: Cherry, Shalon (what is this, even?), Lolita (the most famous reference to a novel about statutory rape/incest?), Mariah (don't let your baby be associated with a diva - or "Glitter"!), Desiree
