Which spelling do you prefer?

"Reed" makes me think plant. "Reid" makes me think Surname
I'm a bit biased, however, Reid is a family name for me (my MIL's maiden name). We had originally thought of using it as a boy's first name until it got so much more attention in recent years. Its not as original as it once was. Even so, I prefer the Reid spelling.

I also prefer Reid, as that's the way I've always seen it spelled.
