I'm also glad people are bothering to look into their family tree names. Hehe.

devonnw85 - My favourites from your list are Mary, Frances and Earnest. I think it lovely you are using William & Robert from your list. If you would like to honour a/a few Mary's I'd say use the name. It is underused now days and I personally love it (after despising it for about 5 years - lol).

meaganeve - my favourites from your list are:
Arthur, Charles, Valentine, Albert, Earnest, Francis, Sampson.
Mary, Nancy, Frances, Catherine, Elberry (rather unusual I suspect it had some meaning as was used twice) Agnes, Etta.

I am also very interested in family history. My husband doesn't want to honour any family in our childrens name(only famous people). Will see how we go I'm sure I can sneak one in somewhere - or twist his arm.

Here are some of the beautiful names from my family tree and my husbands, also going back to 1700's in parts. I put a star next to my favourites or people I'd like to honour

Lots of Olivers in my family and I very much Like the name Eliabeth. However I am told that my gr gr gr grandfather was a polygamist and his three wives were named Agnes, Josephine(Russian), and Christina Eliabeth Wilhemina(German). I feel like it might be in poor taste. Some other names were Cora, Effie Viola, Flossie Florence, Jasper Sylvester.
