    @sweatpea2peanut - as others have said, Agnes in French is Agnès. I think you would probably have to use the accent if you wanted the French pronunciation, because otherwise, I think there's no way you'd get it (I'm not even sure how easily you could enforce ahn-YESS with the accent...).

    Just thought of a few more:

    Anatalia (not sure if it's a smoosh of Anna and Natalia or legitimate name on its own, but I think it's cool!)
    Analilia

    Or some Anna/Anne double barrels like Anne-Claire, Anne-Sophie, Anne-Laure, Anna Clara, Anna Sophia, Anna Lucia, Anna Rose, etc. which are quite obscure but still memorable and easy to spell, etc.

    Thanks everyone for all the great feedback. We do love the French version of Agnes but doubt we would get the right pronunciation. I will have dh look over these ideas. Thanks everyone.
