    Yes, it is a name. I worked with a lady named Eris. She constantly got called Iris though.

    I've only heard it used in fantasy settings, in which it is a Latin word name meaning "air." I think it's beautiful, but you know me and my magical name obsession.

    I'm with those who'd say it like Eris. I really like it-- it feels strong and direct. I also think a name with an "air" meaning would be a good contrast to Rowan.
