Malcolm - it is a nice old Scottish name with the meaning associated with a dove which makes me think of peace. I like the nn Mac.
Magnus - it means the great one which is something for your child to aspire to. I might use the nn Gus with this.
Mitchell - it means like The Lord. Mitch is a great nn.

My favorites are Milo, Mateo, Maddox, Matthias, and Malachy (as opposed to Malachi).
Mateo/Matteo might be my favorite and I was also going to mention the great nickname Teo.
Milo--feels modern even though it's ancient. Just a cool name.
Maddox I also like if you can overcome the fact that Angeline Jolie used it--most berries cannot. It does have a trendiness to it though due to the X.
