    Question about an unusual name.

Woah, I haven't been on in the longest, so many changes to the site! But I like it. (:

    Anyway, the name is Aelita.
I haven't been able to find much on it, but there was a Russian silent film and also a novel with the name. I assume it's said Eye-lee-ta, but I'm not fluent in Russian. (At all, I know nothing. lol) So, I was wondering what you berries know about it?

I don't know anything about the name itself, but if you're American I would consider spelling it without the Ae, maybe just A? I think it's too unusual and would cause the child to constantly have to spell it for people.

I wasn't really considering it for myself, personally, but I guess I do kind of like the sound.

I was immediately reminded of the character on the anime Code Lyoko. I believe they pronounce it like I-lee-ta.

I would say Aelita is pronounced Eh-lee-tuh. The "A" is silent.
