My husband likes this name. It goes very well with our surname. I don't dislike it, it just isn't hitting me. I don't know. What do you all think? It is his gg grandfather's name and the middle is my gg grandfather's name also.

    Royal August.

(Or Royale) not sure on spelling

Hm. Not my favorite, too much pressure. My husband wanted to name DS Strong. I said no.

I think Royal is a little too much. It is a cool name, but it seems it would be hard to wear. Royal would make a nice middle name though!

I agree with this. August Royal would be nicer.

August is such a great name, but it is a virtue name--it means respected and impressive. The meaning feels too much with Royal. Lot to live up to, almost comes across pretentious in combination. But it'd be neat to do those as middles for brothers--something like James Royal and Simeon August.
