Wow, love your taste.
Bertram (nn. Bram) - It's just so frumpy.
Damon - Eh. Sounds like the name of someone annoying.
Ethan - Would have been my name if I'd been a boy. Good thing I'm female, because I dislike the sound.
Gerard - This spelling feels vaguely pretentious.
Jago - All I can see is Iago.Gwen, 19. Film student, bookworm, and bad influence.

Allistair- always hated it
Bertram- character on Disney Channel show Jessie that is a total slob
Graeme- I don't even know what this is
Hamish- sounds like middle eastern food
Jago- just don't like it
Leopold & Rupert- sound like kings from the 1300's

Your girl's list was easier for me. I am not fond of many of these boy's names. There are only a couple that I really love.
So, the top 5 are Bertram (nn Bram) - I love Bram! Dexter and Edmund are favourties of mine. I will add Ethan and Nathan, but they are really just okay for me. I like them, but they are over used. I love Nate, but would use Nathaniel to get the nn, not Nathan.
Most of the names are just not my style. Least favourites are definitely Jago, Graeme, Gerard, Russell and Elliot.
