    Top 5:
Vera - one of my all-time favorites. Great sound, great meaning, very versatile.
Phoebe - cute and light and airy but grounded in history. A great name.
Johanna - elegant and unexpected, great nickname options.
Antonia - similar feelings to Johanna
    Tabitha - wonderful funky option.

    Bottom 5
    Demelza - unattractive sound.
    Dilys - same as Demelza.
    Torill - tore-ill.
Astrid - solid name but I just think the beginning is too unfortunate in English.
Megan - cute name just too dated right now.

    Thanks again for your assistance everyone. After a bit of soul searching, I've cut back my list to the following possible first names;

    Adriana
    Anastasia
    Antonia
    Astrid
    Beatrice
    Elara
    Evelyn
    Hannah
    Hester
    Leah
    Lorna
    Megan
    Myra
    Ophelia
    Phoebe
    Rachel / Rachael
    Sylvia
    Tabitha
    Vera
    Viola

I know Hester, Megan & Lorna aren't very popular with the Nameberry crowd, but I've liked them for years, so I always knew they would be staying on the list! Also some of the name's I've cut (eg. Penelope) are still being considered as middles.

If people could rate my new list, that would be great.

Hester, Pandora -- I like these names, but I think they both have pretty big negative connotations.

    Oops, here's the new list!

Favorite: Elara, Evelyn, Ophelia, Phoebe, Viola

Least Favorite: Adriana, Beatrice (I know lots of people like this name, but I just can't for some reason), Myra, Sylvia, Tabitha

Same comment about Hester, even though I do like it!
