Adriana -- A lovely name! Used to be my number one. Still love it, it's just more romantic than I prefer. Has a bit of flair, but it's still got a strong, dignified sound. It's a powerful name.
Ariana -- Ariana has a lot of the same qualities as Adriana for me. It's a little simpler, cleaner. Not quite the same degree of heaviness and romance to it.
Elara -- A nice, clean name. Still feminine and pretty, but not frilly. Not heavy. Solid choice.
Johanna -- A little romantic for my tastes, but it's got a some toughness to it. I can see a Johanna being a princess just as easily as I can see her being a commando, and I like that in a name.
Vera -- Sweet, but a little sharp. A good, clean name, simple but still quite feminine.
Damaris -- I'm all for names that are a little weird. But I don't really love the sound. For an off the beaten track name to be a winner, to get away with being weird, it has to bring something special to the table. Not feeling anything special.
Dilys -- Uh. I'm not really sure what might have drawn you to this name. It just...I don't get it. Everyone's got different taste, even if I hate a name like Ophelia I can understand why some people would like it. I don't have that here.
Hester -- Sounds like the name of an old hag. Sorry! Just trying to be honest.
Tamsin -- I don't really hate it. But it is a little too weird for me. I don't find the sounds to be offensive, but it reminds me of the Tasmanian Devil. I just don't like that that's where my mind goes.
Torill -- Looks like troll. Kind of sounds like troll.

Ariana - so beautiful and light
Elara - same
Rachel - there's something about Rachel that I've been trying to figure out. It's such a unique, lovely sound. My favourite from this list
Hannah - simple, no-frills, sweet Hannah
Viola - the violin's prettier sister :P it's a nice association for me
Hester - I love Esther, but can't stand Hester. Can't tell you why.
Lorna - just ick
Myrna - same
Dilys - Dilys Pickelys?
Torill - agree with whoever said it sounds like a drug
