    Just Playing (Planning Ahead...?)

So, I've got Eliza Wren and Gwendolen Iris on my list. Then Phoebe.

Question - Phoebe Marilla or Phoebe Mariel?

(Trying to subtly honor some familial Mary-names, Marie and Marion. I know Marilla isn't really a Mary variant.)

I've got Archer on my boy list. I really like Jude, too. Two in the back burner list are Toby and Holden. Someone suggested Ellis and Hollis - I've long appreciated both.

Question - Clearly Eliza and Ellis could never be siblings, but is Hollis usable for a boy these days?

"Names, once they are in common use, quickly become mere sounds, their etymology being buried, like so many of the earth's marvels, beneath the dust of habit." - Salman Rushdie

    I prefer Phoebe Mariel.
I think Hollis would be usable for a boy, but I don't think it goes well with your girl names at all. I would go with either Tobias nn Toby or Jude.

    I like Phoebe Mariel too.

I think of Hollis as more feminine, but only because I know a Hollis that is a chick. So, that may be a completely isolated association. I think Eliza, Gwendolen, Phoebe and Jude make a lovely sib-set though.

I really enjoy leahmarie512's suggestion of Tobias with the nn of Toby

How would you pronounce Marilla (English or Spanish)? Hollis seems more unisex for me.

I like Phoebe Marilla with Eliza Wren and Gwendolen Iris! All three names together have a certain spunk.
As for Hollis: I like it, but it could be confused with Holly.
