    Are these names too similar?

My cousin's daughter's name is Calia (pronounced Kal-ya). I have been looking at names and I think I like the name Kaia (rhymes with Maya) but I'm not sure if it's too close. What does everyone else think?

    Thanks,

    Amanda

When in doubt, don't. Err on the side of caution. I choose something more distinctive.

How about Celia? Think that's too similar? Kaia is very cute!

While they would be too similar for sisters, I really don't see the problem with it for second cousins.... Will the girl's be spending a great deal of time together that it could become confusing? If not I think it would be fine

They are very similar, but for second cousins it would be okay in my opinion. I think it would be cute, especially if they were really close.
