    I pronounce it LEE-OH-KNEE. I have known a couple and they have always pronounced it like that. I do think Lay-oh-nee is very pretty though. And the problem is that if you wrote it phonetically - like Laonie or Layonie it just looks SO wrong! So stick with Leonie and pronounce it either way

    I think all are fine. I pronounce it LEE-uh-nee but all make sense. It'll be corrected all the time, regardless but it's a really delightful name.

    I say Lee-oh-nee, but Lay-oh-nee is prettier and also makes sense. Well, it probably needs an accent in the e or something technically, but still...I think you could get away with either pronunciation.
