    Pronounce Evaline

My grandmother's middle name was Evaline. That's how it was spelled. I've never seen it spelled this way so almost seems made up. I've googled pronounciations and come up w/ many different ways. Just wondering at first glance, how you would hear this name in your head? To me it's Eva-Line. The line w/ a long i sound. But I think my grandmother may have actually pronounced it Eva-Lyn. I'm considering it only as a middle name Grace Evaline. So I realize it doesn't matter a whole lot but just curious how people would say it. I like the long i sound better as I think it flows nicer w/ Grace. But I am not sure if that's even a name. I've never heard anyone named Eva-line w/ the long i sound.

In the first look I would have pronounced it Eh - va - Lyn. I think its quite pretty and I like the combo Grace Evaline.

I guess it's one of those names that can be pronounced a number of ways like Caroline, Madeline, etc. And since it would be middle spot, really wouldn't matter a lot. I just love the line sound w/ the long i...if I were to pronounce it lyn I'd just spell it Evelyn.
