I would definitely use Persephone for my daughter! Its a stunning name!! I think there is potential to be teased in every name so I wouldn't worry to much about it. Although I would use Percy as a nn ,all the are actually really cute!
"And so, being young and dipt in folly. I fell in love with melancholy,."

    names I can actually use:
    Persephone - Melita - Daphne - Atalanta - Elektra - Ariadne - Phaedra - Aemilia - Olympea - Erofili - Ligeia - Ophelia
    &
    Achilleus - Ares - Prometheus - Orpheus - Viktor

gps: Iseut Vesper, Wolfgang Django, Eulalie Blossom, Casimir Leo, Persephone Isolda Marian, Vladimir Hugo, Belladonna Poe, Bramwell Atlas, Sylvaine Echo, Dorian/Dante Alexander Wolf, Nocturne Raphaelle

I LOVE Persephone and the nicknames associated with it. I did have it on my list until I found out it meant 'bringer of death'. Apart from that, its perfecto!

I love Persephone and would totally use it one day if SO was on board. While I also prefer the nn Percy, Seph or Sephie are also cute.

I do think it's pretty, but my main problem with it is that people will mispronounce it purse-a-phone rather than pur-seph-uh-knee

For nn's I like just Penny
Top Names: Benedict Calvin & Noelle Geneva
    Olivia/Livy : Darah/Bethel : Eve/Verity
    Eli/Solomon : Luke/Zane: Levi/Phineas
    Due in January!
