Wink A sister for Isla and Henry: names we are currently mulling over...

    Hi,

We're really struggling with a girls name for our third child. There are no names that we really adore so far. We have discussed:

    Elowen
    Florence
    Imogen
    Elsbeth
    Sophie

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

What do you adore about your other two children's names? For me, the name has to mean something to me outside of just sounding nice--in particular, I tend to cross the "adore" threshold for names of literary characters and historical figures. Family names can also be a source of extra meaning. Ditto nature and animal names.

Do you have any similar criteria for really going for a name?
    human children:
    holden timothy | huckleberry jude
    non-human children:
    penelope | puck | sofia

I love Elsbeth (or Elspeth if you want to use the Scottish variation) and Elowen with Isla and Henry, simply charming. I love the cozy sweetness of Elsbeth and that Elowen means elm creating a subtle nature theme with Isla.
