I think Cara works as a full name on its own. Just because it's a short name doesn't mean is has to be short for something else.

Well, you know I would suggest Caroline My mother is also named Karen!! Cara is a sweet nick name for Caroline, but I also really like Cara on it's own.

Personally, I agree that Cara is perfectly lovely on its own. I really like it. I think previous posters have covered most full name possibilities, so I'll just suggest Chiara.

I can't think of any others than those mentioned, but what about the name Clara? Similar to Cara, but feels more complete.

I do think Cara is lovely on its own--but as I stated in the OP, I find Cara incredibly hard to pair up, and I feel like it's really short compared to my other favorites. Which is why I'm looking for a fuller name. If I can't find anything I like as much as Cara, I'd probably opt for just Cara, but I'd much prefer to find a fuller name.

I do think Caroline is lovely--I've just found that lately I can't separate it from Caroline Bingley, and that's not really the association I want for my wonderful little girl.
