Is Lemon as wearable as it sounds?

Both 30 Rock and Heart of Dixie have great female characters with the name. It is a sassy, bright and spunky name like the characters that wear them on tv. I get that references to bunk cars and having an ol' sour puss might be a factor.. but, I don't see it as an ultimate deterrent.

I think it's different than Apple and more like Clementine. I have read in some places that it even could be used as a nn for that too much citrus confusion?

    Fresh or sour?

Yikes... I don't like food names on people. I guess it's not as bad as Banana, but I think there are a lot of possibilities for teasing. I also can't imagine a teenager or 40-year-old named Lemon.

Lemon is the last name of the character on 30 Rock. Liz Lemon. I think it's ok as a nickname, but not a first name.
Mom to Alexander Patrick (10), Madelyn Esther (7), Genevieve Susan (2), and angel baby Theodore James (stillborn at 37 weeks on February 3, 2014).

Hoping to welcome another little one into our family in 2015.

I think the reason it works on 30 Rock is because it's her last name. It would be a cute nickname or name for a character in a book, but applying to colleges and jobs as "Lemon" would be a pain.

Maybe a fun middle name? I think it's cute, but it would be hard to take seriously.
