    Eliot for a girl

What does everyone think about Eliot for a girl? I love the name, but have been getting a lot of negative feedback.

No,no, please no! Elliot is such a perfect boy's name. I do not understand anyone wanting to use this for a little girl. There are so many gorgeous El names for girls:

    Elise
    Ella
    Eliza
    Elizabeth
    Elsa

I don't mind It, actually. The nickname Ellie is so feminine that I think it translates just fine onto a girl. I don't like the look of this spelling though. Prefer Elliot. But make sure you use a distinctly feminine middle name! Elliot Felicity, Elliot Anastasia, Elliot Claire, Elliot Joy.

I love Eliot for a girl! (Though I prefer the spelling Elliott.) I love the nicknames options of Elle or Ellie.

I LOVE it! Loved it ever since Marla Sokoloff used it for her daughter, Elliotte Anne.

I prefer the more feminine spelling.

Pick what you like. My rule of thumb is that it it literally IM.POSSIBLE. to please everyone. Please yourself.
