    Opinions on Epiphany

    Hi,
What do you think of Epiphany?
I am growing to like it, and I think it would be nice either as a middle or first for a girl born in winter. I think that it I pretty, but what do you think?
    Thanks,
    Ellie xx

Epiphany would be ridiculous on a person, whether male or female.

I think it's a nicer and more original version of the very Christian-influenced virtue names (you know, like Chastity, Prudence, Mercy and Charity). Though, like the other virtue names, it can give off a prudish, Colonial vibe. I also think it's not quite as lovely sound-wise as other non-virtuous names. I am a fan of the virtue name Verity, however, and Amity has a lovely ring.
Overall Epiphany is a big name to saddle on a little girl, so I'd probably save it for the middle slot.

I also think it's a bit ridiculous and over the top. I also think the -piph- syllable isn't very attractive. There are so many other great unusual and unknown virtue names out there, such as the previously mentioned Amity.

not a huge fan and the meaning is too presumptuous. What if your daughter has a slow wit? No epiphanies for poor little epiphany!

    Mads - Brook - Gilbert - Sam - Iggy - Ned
