    Both are lovely, but I'd have to go with Juliette, especially with Luc as sib.

    Am I right that Violette is pronounced Vee-oh-let as opposed to VI-uh-let (violet)? I think this is a really fun derivation, but I worry that it would get pronounced incorrectly a lot if that is the way you are saying it. For that reason I'd pick Juliette.

    Violette, unless you are pronouncing it like Violet.

    Juliette is pretty too, but I don't see the point if you are using the French spelling and pronounce it the English way.

    I prefer Juliette to Violette. I like Violet, but Violette I think would be mispronounced as Violet a lot of the time.
