I hit the wrong button, so subtract one vote from "yes"! I think they sound fine altho agree with thatkathryngirl that they seem different stylistically...

I actually think that the similar sounds complement one another quite well.

I don't like Isaac and Violet together for three reasons.

1 They both have long "eye" sounds.
2 They both end in abrupt, sharp consonants ("c" and "t").
3 They seem stylistically mismatched (Biblical vs. nature name).
    All the best,
    Mischa.

Mischa - the "eye" sound is the whole reason I am unsure and posted the question. On the note of style do you (and everyone) think I will need to chose a biblical name now? I hope Isaac doesn't tie to me to using a bible name (though there are plenty I like). I am not really religious and tend toward nature names in general. I have several others I like so I am not married to Violet, just curious I don't mind the sharp endings however though I do also like names ending in O

Honestly, I notice the long "I" sound, but they're not too close imo at all. I really love Edie, Isaac, and Violet together!
