    Exactly what the problem is. As much as I love the idea of a kid named Soldier I hate the association with the war(no offense to all the Soldiers out there.)

    There aren't any names that are going to get you to the nickname Soldier. Nicknames don't have to have a connection to the given name, especially one like Soldier.
