    Opinions on Honor

    Hi,
I love the name Honor, I'm British and in England the word is spelt honour, but all the English girls called this that I know, spell it Honor. I love this spelling and they way that it looks and sounds (imagine saying it in an English accent)

    What do you all think?
    Thank you,
    Ellie xx

I think Honor sounds nice. The problem is, the name is just too similar to Honour, which is quite a 'heavy' name to have. I am afraid it is a bit old-school and is only suitable for girls who are intelligent and likes to think - it doesn't work on everyone.

I think it would be a nice middle name though.

It goes well with any first name that doesn't end with a A sound.

I always feel an 'Honor' is a missed 'Honoria' opportunity, but then I am a big fan of P G Wodehouse ;-)

I had a great great (x lots...) Granny called Honora. I think I prefer that to Honor and she could be called Nora if she didn't like her full name.
