    sibset thoughts and suggestions

My husband and I agreed so quickly and easily on our first sons name, August James nn Gus, but can't agree on ANY others! It is very important to me to have names that "go together" stylewise. Gus is old feeling to me, and I want the others to feel that way as well. My choices for boys are:
Henry, Oscar, Jack, Louis, Max, Oliver
    My husband's choices: George, William
    My choices for girls:
Matilda, Eloise, Eliza, Hattie, Vivienne, Lucy
    My husband's choices: Ruby
Thoughts??? Which names sound the best with Gus? Any other suggestions I haven't thought of? Thanks!!

What about Earnest? Not common, but has a similar feel to August with super cute Ernie as an option.

I like Oscar from your list, but the sound seems too close to August.

    Or Bernard nn Bernie.

I like Matilda nn Tilly from your list, but Ruby is lovely too.

    What about Winnifred nn Winnie?
    Olivia/Livia/Livy/Liv : Thessaly/Darah/Bethel : Noelle/Eve
    Benedict/Eli: Jude/Zane: Luke/Darius : Levi/Phineas/Calvin

I think Oscar has the same feel as August/Gus, but like kala_way said, the beginning sound is too similar to August. I like Henry, nn hank would be adorable with Gus. I like George as well, but then you have repeating initials with George and Gus (something I like to avoid, I don't know why). I also Like Oliver nn Ollie and Gus.

Out of your girl's names I like Matilda, Eloise, Eliza, Vivienne and Hattie though I would put Harriett on the birth certificate. Harriet and August would be awesome and there would be continuity of them both having a full name and a nn. Matilda and Eliza are probably my favorites with August/Gus. The sassy, spunky Ruby is cute with Gus, but would put you in a different direction stylistically than your other name choices, which are more elegant and formal.
