Oh, that makes sense. Saanens had different letters for bloodlines of particular national champions, that is, there was a national champion whose name started with A, so then all his progeny had A names, etc. I had some "P Line" and "D Line" stock and had fun when I crossed them, giving them names like Prima Donna and Princess Di, though technically I probably should have picked the letter of the sire or maybe the greater champion.
LOL - my firstborn son is named Caspian. Good thing there wasn't a "C Line."

I love Maren and Willa, and I'm a bit charmed by the idea of Hero as a middle name. Though Katherine and Mary are splendid middles, of course.
Of yours that he vetoed, I love Iris, Helena, and Briony.
