    I went with Emily. Ordinarily I'd pick whichever was least popular, but Emily is just so much more likeable than Erica. It feels like a mean-girl name to me, and I haven't even encountered any mean Ericas.

    You could also consider Emma or browse other Em- starting names? Erica's very 70s and there been quite a lot of Emily's since both Emma and Emily were close to the top of the list.
