Since this time the purpose seems to limit, I will embrace negativity in hopes of helping you eliminate a few. (Favorites are Auberon, Casimir, Darius, and Endymion).

    Think about losing...

Archimedes. I just see the owl from Disney's "The Sword in the Stone."
Attila: The "a" ending seems so feminine and I wil never not finish with "the hun."
Herne: I would actually love to hear what you like about this name. I had NEVER heard it until you were throwing it around last time and it just doesn't even sound like a name to me. It's just a sound. lol. And I agree with whoever said it made them think of Hernia. :/
Melchior: This one sounds sort of overly dramatic. I hear the kid from Toy Story narrating out loud, "Look out everyone! Here comes... MELCHIORRRR!"

I love a lot of these names so so much. But those are the ones I don't get.
    Names I enjoy:

    Girls: Lucy, Elena, Lake, Sylvie

    Boys: Jack, Eamon, Sylvan, Theo

    Darius -- Yes.
    Lucius -- Yes.
    Orpheus -- Oriface. No.
    Perseus -- Meh.
    Romulus -- Meh.

    Auberon/Oberon -- Oberon, yes.
    Endymion -- Meh.
    Herne -- No.
    Odin -- Yes.

    Casimir -- Meh.
    Melchior -- Meh.
    Rainier -- ...undecided?

    Archimedes -- No.
    Attila -- No.
    Faramond -- No.
    Leopold -- Meh.

    So here are my picks:

    Darius
    Lucius
    Oberon
    Odin

Odin and Aphrodite = win. It admittedly boxes you into god names if you feel sibsetty, but... ODIN.

Top ten, in my favorite order:

    Odin
    Oberon
    Darius
    Lucius
    Perseus
    Rainier
    Romulus
    Leopold
    Melchior
    Casimir
I'm not feeling incredibly profound at the moment. Check back later.

Sorry I've been off the forums for a bit...

I know I said meh about a lot of these - none of them are a thumbs-down, just that I don't have any particular feeling about the name one way or another.

    Darius - meh
    Lucius - meh
    Orpheus - YES!!!
    Perseus - awesome
Romulus - hmmm...I'll have to contemplate this one...for me it is still to close to the Romulans (Oh star trek why must you ruin everything?)

    Auberon/Oberon - I like Oberon
Endymion - I want to like this one but for some reason I'm not super-fond
Herne - This I never would have thought of - LOVE it.
    Odin - YES.

    Casimir - meh
Melchior - very epic, but for some reason I'm not loving the way it rolls off the tongue
Rainier - Cool in theory, not sure how it would wear

    Archimedes - YES!!!
Attila - Sorry, not loving it
Faramond - not sure, will have to contemplate
    Leopold - Another great choice

    Hope that helps!

    Love, moonie
