    Feedback and suggestions for a little mountain baby

    Interested in feedback and suggestions. We are due in September. Last name is very Irish, with lots of Scottish in there, too. I'd like a name that isn't totally unknown, but not too common either. Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Micha-it's soft sounding and very cute, nms but it's still a great choice
    Torin-I'm not sure I like this one as much, it sounds strange when I say it
    Alexander-Classic, great choice
    Elias-Also wonderful
    Elliot- very handsome name for a boy
    Callum-I think of Caleb and Malcom, and talcum powder...
    Evan- You mentioned a "mountain" baby name so the meaning "rock" works well with that theme.
    Ethan-great overal name, never go wrong with this one. I picture a nice, helpful and sweet boy.

    Thanks for the feedback (and the awesome mountain names, emlaweez!) We live in the mountains and play in the woods a lot, so I love names inspired by nature. My husband is a little less nature-y, but he loves a lot of the Irish/Celtic/Scottish names that I do.

    Whillemina - I'm glad you like Eira. I think it's gorgeous, and I love its meaning, since we are avid skiers. I'm never sure if people will associate with Ira (which is a boy's name that I don't love). I'm glad I kept it on the list.

    Ooh, Marin Grace or Eira Grace is beautiful, and Callan Alexander is very handsome! Nora Joan would be adorable as well - you have so many good names on there that I just can't decide (I hate to think how you must be feeling, actually having to name this baby!) Are you thinking of going with a Scottish/Irish name for the first name as well? Good luck!
