Girls names for boys
Whatever our opinion on the matter, we all know that boys names for girls are trendy. But how about the reverse? If a girl can be named Lincoln or Elliot, why can't a boy be Lois or Isabel?
I think a lot of girls names could work fabulously for boys. If Tanner, why not Tanith? If Xavier, why not Xanthe? If Owen, why not Opal? If Jonathan, why not Jonquil? If Max, why not May?
Some more of my favorite gender-swapped names:
Leonie (Leo is getting popular)
Cate (just a letter off from Cade)
Jolie (instead of just Joel)
Alison ('son' is right there in the name!)
Macy (a great alternative to Mason!)
Ivy (one of my favorites)
Belle (boys are beautiful too, right?)
Jane (a very tough male character on 'Firefly' wore this name handsomely)
Julie (could be a nn for the popular Julian)
Brynn (like a modern, stripped-down Brian)
Piper (LOVE this for a boy)
Charity (virtue names, like nature names, should be gender-neutral, right?)
Joy (I would love to see this on a boy!)
Jennifer (dated for girls, fresh for boys)
What girls names would YOU like to see cross over?Simon, Eloise/Louise, Faye, Judah, Thea, Felix, Iris, Cordelia, Roscoe, Lydia, Jasper, Phaedra, Adrian, Lucinda, Jane, Conrad, Wallace, Finnegan, Sylvie, Charlie, Dashiell, Juniper, Atlas, Matilda, Julian, Alice, Marlowe, Octavia, Jack, Marigold, Archer, Gabriel, Persephone, Raphael, Dov
