    I like them both. In this case, if I had to pick, it would be Evangeline. The only thing about this name is that it does have religious connotations, i.e. evangelical.

    But, as both are long and multi-syllabel you should expect it will get shortened from time to time. Even if you don't use a nickname at home, inevitably as she grows up, friends, coworkers, etc will shorten it. So, the real question is which do you like better:

    Angelina: likely shortened to Ang, Angie, possibly Lina
    Evangeline: likely shortened to Ev, Evie, or even Evan

    If I had to choose, I'd probably go with Angelina. Evangeline has quite a harsh sound to me. Moreover, it makes me think of evangelicals and evangelists... so a bit frightening to me...

    I personally prefer Evangeline Angelina is nice, but just not my style <3 Seems.. almost dated? I knew a few Angelina's growing up though so thats probably it. GL!

    I find Angelina to be more classic & unexpected on a little girl today.

    I prefer Evangeline (and Evie) to Angelina (and Angie). Angelina feels dated to me, and only makes me think of Angelina Jolie.
