I agree that Caroline is a timless classic. You could always use a more upbeat nickname: Carly, Callie, Cary, Caddy, Cal, Caro, Coco, Cara, Caia, Chuck, Cas, Lyne.

Carolina, Charlotte, Charlotta, Carlotta, Charlene, Charlize, Carola, Karolina.
Arabella, Thibault, Sophia, Alfred, Eleanor, Rémi, Charlotte, Achille, Olivia, Clement, Elizabeth, Frederick, Maud, Benedict, Adèle.

I also LOVE Caroline! It is already revived and getting popular. I was in Taco Bell yesterday and I heard a Mom call her daughter (who was about 5 or 6 yrs. old "Caroline, come here and get a napkin" !) I thought how wonderful to hear a little one named Caroline! Another that I love is Carolina or Karolina pronounced Car-o-leena (like the model)....such a beautiful name!

    Also....

    Caralee
    Carolie
    Caralena
    Carolena
just plain Lena is wonderful too!

    Good Luck!
