Not recent, but I worked at a summer day camp one year and met a young lady named Ecstasy (a few years before the drug was so named). I can only assume her parents were commemorating the moment of her conception.

I met a little boy named Amos recently. I love the style and sound of this name, but it sounds so close to "anus" that I don't think I could use it on a kid. I think I'd go with Otis, which has a similar feel to me.

I met another kid, a girl named Irena (ee-RAY-nuh) who was shy and sweet. It made me love the name.

I also met a toddler named Jessica, which surprised me - it seems more like a mom name these days. It reminded me that most names that get super popular got that way for a reason: Jessica is an objectively lovely name. Still, unexpected on a little one!

I just saw the names of 3 girls. They were named Dreams, Reality and Divine... I'm not sure if the last name is spelled correctly. Absolutely not my thing.
