I would've said eh-lah-ra (I'm from England if that helps!) and I actually think it's really pretty. I also don't like the ee-lara pronunciation.♥ Eleanor, Violet, Grace, Milena, Polly, Marnie, Lila, Katharine, Serena, Dixie.
