"New" Here! Help with name for baby boy!

Hi, I'm due in August and need help naming my baby boy due 8/23.

My husband has an unusual last name...NEW!

Here are the names I like:

    Colin
    Ellis
    Bennett
    Gabriel
    Graham
    Merrick
    Devin
    Davis
    Maxwell
    Cormac
    Griffin
    Hollis
    Hallam
    Dashiell
    Rafferty
    Rogan
    Sayer
    Vaughan
    Warwick
    Whittaker
    Everett

Family names are Nicholas (*really* not sure about "Nick New"!), Harold and Theodore.

Finally, thoughts on a surname as a first name? Another family name - McMannis - I love "Mac"!

    THANK YOU, berries!

I agree that Nick New is a bit much, but you could always use Nicholas as a middle name. Typically I'm ok with surnames as first names for boys, but McMannis is one of those that strikes me as most definitely NOT a first name. I think it could be a good middle though.
My VERY favorites from your list are Colin, Gabriel, Graham, Griffin, and Warwick. I also like Everett, Sayer, Rogan, and Ellis.
    My favs with your ln:
    Graham New
    Griffin New
    Warwick New
    Sayer New
    Everett New

Nick New does sounds odd, and McMannis would make a rather weird first name. I like surnames as first names, but some don't sound right.

Of the ones you have listed I like:
    Graham New
    Davis New
    Cormac New
    Hallam New
    Dashiell New
    Everett New

Names ending in 'N' like Colin New sound like one name IMO because the 'N's run together. And, while I like Maxwell New, if he went by Max, Max New sounds like Matthew.
Ian Alexander Cameron Blaise Damien Cole Axel Sean Callum Bryce Lennox Beau
Blair Annevieve Camryn Atalya Piper Caydence Tallulah Sage Senna Kai Haven Lux

    Welcome to Nameberry!

    My favorites:

    Theodore New
    Everett New
    Sayer New
    Gabriel New

I might avoid the choices that end in N - Colin, Devin, Griffin, etc. - and these run into the first sound in the last name and make it sound like a single word ("Griffinoo!"). Ditto for the ones that end in M. Were you thinking of using a middle? If so, what do you think of...

    Theodore Everett New
    Theodore Gabriel New
    Theodore Sayer New
    Theodore Ellis New

    Good luck!
