First of all, I think Michael Robert is a wonderful name. I like the nickname Milo for it. It's a bit of a stretch but it's not too out there.

What about the nn Ike for Michael (as in, not Mike but Ike). I never really liked the name Ike, but as of late, it's been seriously growing as an alternative to Michael.

Or what about Bert/Bertie as a nn for Robert? Or even Rupert instead of Robert (Rupert Michael). Rupert is the German variation of Robert and in my opinion, has much more spunk!

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful replies! Ike is a great idea, but our last name starts with a K. And the idea of two middles is definitely an idea to ponder as well!
