Elspeth or Ailsa in N. America?

Which do you prefer and why? My husband think Elspeth sounds like somebody lisping 'Elizabeth'. I think it is pretty. Comments?

    Is Elspeth prettier than Ailsa?

    I love Elspeth.
How do you pronounce Ailsa? My instinct would be ALE-sa.

I agree with your husband. I've never liked the name because the pronunciation reminds me of a toddler who can't quite say the name Elizabeth.

I've never heard Ailsa before. How do you pronounce it?
