What a tough choice! I love both names. I actually prefer Margot with Leo, despite the "o" ending sounds being the same. I just think Margot and Leo have a more similar style than Leo and Caroline. If it was Leopold, I would go with Caroline. But for just Leo, I like Margot. Margot Caroline is lovely!

I am super excited that you have narrowed it down to Caroline and Margot which are of course my two names. I think Caroline Margot flows better but there is absolutely no reason that you can't use Margot as her everyday name. Hardly anyone calls me by my first name now, I am known as Margot to all.

I also have a cousin and he goes by his middle name. I don't fine it strange at all to use the middle all the time.

However if it bothers you just go with Margot Caroline, otherwise just inform everyone that she will be known as Margot.

Please post in our Birth Announcements section when she is born.

Either way she is a lucky girl.

Thank you guys so much for your help so far!

We plan on having 3 or 4 kids so I want to save our favorite names in case we have more girls. Margot Caroline/Caroline Margot are beautiful combinations though!

You guys seem more split on this vs than my other ones and I am still having a hard time deciding as well! So any other thoughts or opinions are welcome. Although what one poster said several posts back about Caroline seeming more ordinary (but still gorgeous) while Margot is more exciting is something I have really been thinking about. So thank you!

Ooooo I love both! I guess it depends on what you're going for. Caroline is girly, elegant, french, and dainty. Margot is classy but not as proper sounding as Caroline, but has more spunk and personality than Caroline. Just something to think about. I really do love both names, theyre adorable. You have great taste
    Btw I like Penelope too!
