    Ways to Get to Rose

After really thinking about it, I am leaning heavily towards the name Rose as a first name. My husband says it is bit boring though. As a compromise, he would prefer a longer version of the name which can then be shorten to Rose as a nn. I have thought of Rosalie, Rosemary and Rosalind. I would love your opinions on these? Any others that I am missing?

I like Rosalie best, but Rosalind is also beautiful. Not too keen on Rosemary. I'm reminded of the seasoning.

    Rozalia (prn: ro ZAHL ya)

    Roisin (ro-SHEEN)

    Rosamund (prn either: ROSE-a-mund, ROZZ-a-mund, or ROZZ-mund)

I actually don't think Rose is boring at all. I have yet to meet one, in fact. It's short, but short isn't the same as dull.

I like Rosalie a lot! Rosemary still feels a little stuffy old lady to me, although I'm warming to it. I'd love to see it used on someone else's baby!

Other ways to get to Rose:

    Primrose
    Rosamund
    Rosemarie
    Roseanne
    Rosa
    Rosina
    Rosita
    Rosetta
    Rosalyn

I like Rosalind! Rosalie is okay, but it sounds kind of trendy to me because of Twilight - I feel like it will sink in popularity really fast in a few years.

    Sorry for repeats:

    Rosamund/Rosamond
    Rosanna
    Rosaline
    Rosalinde
    Rosa
    Melrose
Alice. Marian. Juno. Branwen. Helena. Polly. Ophelia. Rosalind. Cosima. Matilda. Edith. Anna. Claudia. Frances.
Arthur. Henry. Caspian. Stanley. Justice. Dexter. Edmund. Thomas. Nathaniel. Forest. Oscar. Lucian. Peter.
