Calista - Sounds fine, but not my taste.
Thalia - It depends how you pronounce it.
Allegra - All I think of is the medicine.
Clio - I like it better Cleo, and as a nickname.
Freya- Seems to be a fine and normal name, but I really don't like it or think it's pretty.
    Calypso - No way.
    Cordelia - great.
Io - I wouldn't use it. People won't get it.
Philadelphia - A little too far-fetched to me.

I agree with this. And I also live in the Midwest.

I live in the deep South, not the Midwest, but these would get raised eyebrows for sure around here:

    Allegra
    Freya
    Calypso
    Io
    Philadelphia

Allegra and Freya would be easy to get used to though.

I find them all quite usable, with the exception of maybe Io or Calypso, all save Philadelphia, which I don't find usable at all. But I'll explain my reaction to that on your Philadelphia thread.

Calista nn Callie -- Calista perfectly usable. There were 195 Calista's and 77 Callista's born in 2012, which combined, aren't too far outside the top 1000.
Thalia -- I don't see why this one would be unusable.
Allegra -- Even with the allergy medicine association, I still like it and still see it as usable.
Clio -- It's a bit more out there but it's still fine.
    Freya -- Usable as well.
Calypso -- Might be a bit too out there.
Cordelia nn Cora -- Perfectly fine.
Io (should this be a nickname for a longer name?) -- Too out there.
Philadelphia -- Too related to the city.
