I don't think Roscoe is bizarre at all. It's a vintage name with a long history of use and was on the SSA list for almost 100 years.

We've finally settled on Linus for our little guy! Our runners up are in my signature and we'll reconsider all of them if we ever have another boy and they could maybe work for you:

Felix (nn Fix or Fitz) - I liked this one best but was outnumbered by DH and my daughter who both preferred Linus
    Simon
    Arthur (nn Ari)
    Malcolm (nn Mac or Max)
    Theodore (nn Dory)
    Desmond (nn Dez or Dex)
    Jasper
Mom to Sylvia Caron and Linus Roman
